All Lanes Have Been Reopened on Southbound I-25 at Johnson’s Corner Following a Traffic-blocking Crash

A crash involving six cars occurred on southbound Interstate 25 at Johnson’s Corner, Colorado. According to the Colorado State Patrol, as reported to Denver7 Traffic Expert Jayson Luber, one person was sent to the hospital due to the accident.

The crash that occurred in a construction zone on Tuesday morning was to blame for the traffic disruption. All lanes on southbound I-25 were temporarily closed at Johnson’s Corner because of this incident.

This incident took place just north of Berthoud. To access the scene of the accident, first responders had to travel north using the closed southbound lanes. They then positioned themselves on the left-hand shoulder of the northbound side of the interstate.

As a result of the crash, traffic congestion stretched back to before Highway 34 in Loveland. Luber recommended considering alternative routes that utilize side roads to avoid the congestion.

Once the lanes were reopened around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Luber estimated that it might take about 30 minutes for the traffic to gradually ease from before Highway 34 to Berthoud.
