Funeral Services for Darlene Virginia Palmer, 87, of Center, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Center with Mr. Robert Hintz officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the funeral home.
Darlene passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
She was born October 7, 1930, in Beulah, Mich., the daughter of Bion and Caroline Merrilat Gassman.
She married Robert Palmer in February 1980 in Hannibal and he survives.
Other survivors included four daughters, Cheryl Selander and Lynn Cain, both of Tucson, Ariz., Darla Selander of Copemish, Mich., and Gayle Norman of Muskegon, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Karen Palmer of Kansas City, Mo.; one stepson, Mark Palmer of Cave Springs, Ore.; two brothers, Lyle Gassman of Birchwood, Tenn. and Larry Gassman of Martinburg, W.Va.; three grandsons, Troy Gonyon of Blackstone, Mass., Scott Duff and Michael Cain, both of Tucson, Ariz.; one step-granddaughter, Andrea Hayes of Hannibal; and two great-grandchildren.
Darlene was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Hannibal. She graduated from the Buelah, Michigan, high school and then worked as a secretary for a furniture company. She loved to travel, enjoyed shopping, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a sweet, fun loving lady.
Pallbearers will be Ritchie Palmer, Ed Riggs, Kevin Mastin, Brock Mastin, Tyler Kerker, and Kolbie Kerker.
