Stanley Floyd Rouse
Funeral Services for Stanley Floyd Rouse, 96, of Perry, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with Brian Meranda and Reverend Phyllis Hart officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday at 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Rouse passed away at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Monroe Manor in Paris.
He was born September 5, 1921, in Monroe County, the son of Albert and Effie Rainey Rouse.
He married Alice Virginia Day in Hannibal on December 21, 1941, and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2009.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Gloria) Rouse of Perry; one granddaughter, Pamela Rouse of Moberly; and several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of good friends.
Mr. Rouse was a lifetime area resident and farmer. He grew up as an only child in the Salt River bottoms. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Mt. Prairie Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Florida Masonic Lodge #23, Monroe County Saddle Club and National Rifle Association. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He took pride in his livestock and row crops. He and Alice loved attending farm sales, finding one of a kind antiques and going to the Cannon Dam Opry. His hobbies included woodworking, cooking, coyote hunting, and fishing. He was an avid martial arts fan. He never looked back to the past, he always looked toward the future.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Lentz, Jeff Leake, Joe Kuda, Dick Bloomfield, Ronnie Rouse and David Graupman.
