Connie Lou Ragland
Services for Connie Lou Ragland, 85, of Perry, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with Pastor Jason Yancey officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ragland passed away at 8:15 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018, at Boone County Hospital, Columbia.
She was born in Ralls County on December 1, 1932, the daughter of James and Dorothy Blansett Griffith.
She married Raymond Rose Ragland in Hannibal on January 18, 1952, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Carey (Karen) Ragland of Arvada, Colo., and Craig (Anne) Ragland of Des Peres; two daughters, Linda (Bobby Joe) Young and Kris (Dean) Yancey, both of Perry; one niece, Janet (Richard) Berry of Perry, who she helped raise; eight grandchildren, Jody Young and Emily Yancey of Perry, Cindy Ragland and Sierra Ragland of Arvada, Colo., Justin Ragland of Oxford, Miss., Melissa (Ron) DiDonato of Littleton, Colo., Stephanie (Cody) Sears of Lyons, Colo., and Rachael Ragland (Ryan McKee) of Longmont, Colo.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Griffith; and four sisters, Ruth Youngblood, Helen Hager, Delores Jean Leake, and Mary Margaret Kuda.
Mrs. Ragland was a lifetime area resident and member of Living Water Ministries. She was a homemaker and loved making quilts, cooking, and watching Cardinals baseball (and opposing the Cubs). She excelled at being a grandma.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Ragland, Eric Joiner, Justin Ragland, Stephanie Sears, Elizabeth Yancey and Emily Yancey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jody Young, Darren Berry, Cindy Ragland, Melissa DiDonato, Rachael Ragland and Sierra Ragland.
