Robert Lee Harrison
Services for Robert Lee Harrison, 81, of Santa Fe, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Perry Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Knight officiating. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery, Santa Fe.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry.
Mr. Harrison passed away at 12:35 a.m. November 6, 2017, at his home.
He was born March 23, 1936, in Algona, Iowa, the son of William and Hazel Markla Harrison.
He was married to Delores Marie (Dee) Shy on February 28, 1959, in Perry and she preceded him in death October 28, 2016.
Survivors include one son, Steven Mathew (Leslie Williams) Harrison of Danville; two daughters, Connie Marie (Richard) Woodrow and Tammy Lynn Huse, both of Santa Fe; two sisters, Alice Yager of Sturgeon, and Frances Langerud of Paris; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robbie Harrison; and two brothers, Dean and Pete Harrison.
Mr. Harrison was a lifetime area resident and member of the Perry Baptist Church. He was a 1953 graduate of Perry High School. He was a farmer and worked as a maintenance mechanic for over 32 years with National Refractories. He served in the US Army being discharged in May of 1963, and having attained the rank of Specialist 4. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and arrow head hunting.
Pallbearers will be Chris Shy, Russell Harrison, Greg Harrison, Patty Landis, Corey Seeley, and Steve Young.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry Baptist Church or South Fork Cemetery.
