Francoise Lydie Alene Wilson
Mass of Christian Burial for Francoise Lydie Alene Wilson, 80, of Perry, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at St. William Catholic Church with Father John Henderson officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, rural Center.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson passed away at 8:10 a.m. May 9, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Chaumont, France, the daughter of Paul and Denise (Grandjean) Remy.
She was married July 23, 1956, in Vignory, France, to Darris L. Wilson and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Christopher Wilson of Ferguson, and Jeffrey (Maggie) Wilson of Wentzville; four daughters, Loraine Griffis of Mexico, Karen Schwartz of Oklahoma City, Okla., Valerie (Rick) Jacobs of Centrallia, and Jennifer Wilson of Kansas City; seven grandchildren, Jill, Libby, and Hannah Schwartz of Oklahoma City, Okla., Claire (Cory) Elrod of Wentzville, and Katelynn, Elisabeth and Laura Wilson, all of Wentzville; and two great-grandchildren, Avery and Lillian Elrod, both of Wentzville.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Jacobs.
Mrs. Wilson came to the United States with her husband in 1958 and soon became a US Citizen. They moved to the Perry area in 1978. She was a homemaker and worked at TG&Y in Mexico for one year and then assisted in the Lick Creek Antique store for several years. She was an active member of St. William Catholic Church and St. William Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching her birds, making rosaries, and spending time with her family.
Pallbearers will be Greg Power, Cory Elrod, Jeffrey Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Rick Jacobs and Nadine Beech.
