Lettie Fern Peery

 Services for Lettie Fern Peery, 78, of Vandalia, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with Reverend Tom Day officiating. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery.
   Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
   Mrs. Peery passed away at 5:25 a.m. April 10, 2017, at her home.
   She was born August 9, 1938, in Ralls County, the daughter of Richard R. and Sarah Buffington Robinson.
   She was married to Wendell Wayne (Wink) Peery on March 25, 1957, in Hannibal and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2004.
   Surivivors include one son, Lendell (Kelly) Peery of New London; one daughter, Barbara Taylor of Hannibal; two brothers, Johnie (Mary) Robinson of Perry, and Raymond (Joyce) Robinson of Marceline; two sisters, Elizabeth (Rex) Brown of Perry, and Evalene Enochs of Monroe City; six grandchildren, Alex Taylor of Vandalia, Logan (Samantha) Taylor and Stacy Taylor, all of St. Louis, Steven Mottaz of Greeley, Colo., Kaitlyn Friedlein of Hannibal, Dalton Peery and Shawn Friedlein, both of New London; four great-grandchildren, Caden, Haisley, and Kolton Friedlein, all of Hannibal, and Jameson Taylor of St. Louis; and her beloved pets, Rosie, Abby, and Little Foot.
   Mrs. Peery was a lifetime area resident and was Christian by Faith. She loved her home and spending time with her grandchildren at their sporting events. She worked at Avery's Floor Mats until her retirement. She and Wink enjoyed riding their motorcycle everywhere when they were younger. She liked doing puzzles, working crosswords, playing Yahtzee, quilting, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
   Pallbearers will be Alex Taylor, Logan Taylor, Steven Mottaz, Dalton Peery, Stacy Taylor, and Kaitlyn Friedlein. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnie Robinson, Raymond Robinson, Rex Brown, Donn Peery, Larry Peery, and Gary Peery.
