The Perry Volunteer Fire Department held their annual Fireman's Ball on Saturday, February 25, at the Junction. Many local businesses contributed items for the raffle and a large crowd participated in the live auction. Corey Fry acted as Emcee; Steve Whitaker and John Wallace volunteered as auctioneers; and Miss Perry Sesquicentennial, Lauren Williams, and Miss Junior Perry Sesquicentennial, Elizabeth Trower, helped throughout the evening, Matt Shrameck won the cross bow. Cody Smith won the deer rifle, but donated it back to be auctioned off. The Junction donated 15% of all drinks and food served that night. The night was a big success, the Fire Department was able to raise over $8000 toward new extrication equipment.
