Varsity Boys Take 1st at Van-Far Cross Country

Mark Twain’s Cross Country teams participated in the Van-Far Meet on Tuesday, September 10. Both junior high and high school teams ran.
The varsity boys team took first place. Zoe Miller won the varsity girls’ race and all four varsity girls placed in the top 10 and received medals.
In the varsity girls’ race Zoe Miller placed 1st with a 24:35 time; Matera Ellis placed 3rd with a 25:23 time; Elizabeth Northcutt placed 7th with a 27:12 time; and Laura Booth placed 9th with a 28:24 time.
In the varsity boys’ race Jackson Jung placed 3rd with a 21:30 time; Will Owens placed 4th with a 21:34 time; Brandon Fullenwider placed 5th with a 21:35 time; Brandon Black placed 9th with a 22:23 time; Gabe Howald had a 22:56 time; Chase Lake had a 23:45 time; Matthew Bagby had a 26:03 time; and Thomas Barnes had a 30:26 time.
In the junior high girls’ race Cynthia Resor placed 2nd place with a 13:21 time. Anna Owens placed 5th with a 14:02 time.
In the junior high boys’ race Colten Eisele placed 4th with a 13:07 time.
