4-H Fall Kick Off

by Patty Fisher, University of Missouri Extension

Come join the fun games, food and learn about 4-H opportunities at the 4-H Fall Kick Off! It will be Sunday, October 6 at the Center Baptist Church from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be booths highlighting each 4-H club as well as county events. The church is located at 415 S. Public Street in Center, Mo.
4-H is a youth organization between the ages of five to 18. Youth ages five to seven will be clover kids that participate in a variety of learning opportunities that are not competitive in nature. Youth ages eight to 18 can select from a variety of projects to learn new skills or fine tune ones they already possess. Members also have the opportunity to participate in county, regional and state events. These things mixed with the club activities and community service events create an opportunity for youth to learn life skills.
So put on a shirt from your favorite team or just your favorite color to come join the fun at the 4-H Fall Kick Off. You will be able to learn when the clubs meet, projects they offer, requirements of each club and hear about the fun activities they have during the year.
Can’t wait until October 6 to get information, then visit our booth at the Ralls County School District Back to School Fair on August 15.
