Warren Ardrey, 60, of Perry, Missouri, passed away at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Westview Nursing Home in Center, Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate.
Burial with Full Military Rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Center Cemetery in Center, Missouri.
Friends and family are invited to Warren's Life Celebration… at a visitation that will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services, Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Warren was born December 30, 1956, in Hannibal, to Clyde "Junior" Elmer Ardrey, Jr. and Helen Carolyn Mechlin Ardrey.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Carolyn Ardrey of Hannibal, Mo., one brother, John M. Ardrey of Perry, Mo.; one sister, Melinda Faye Coghlan (Robert) of Central City, Iowa; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Warren was a United States Army Veteran. Warren was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #513. He worked as a crane operator working on several area landmarks including The Clarence Cannon Dam and the Quincy Memorial Bridge.
Away from work Warren enjoyed barbequing; one of his specialties was barbecued ribs. Warren was also a talented gardener and raised beautiful roses each year. Coin collecting, bird watching and history were other interests that Warren enjoyed. Most of all Warren enjoyed time with family and friends, especially children. Warren enjoyed making a child’s day by treating them to an ice cream cone or a shiny new quarter.
Warren was a Catholic by faith.
