Dr. Dylan Marney to Perform in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, MO – Dr. Dylan Marney, Chair of the Division of Fine, Applied, and Literary Arts and Assistant Professor of Music at Culver-Stockton College will be the featured performer at 2:00 p.m. on April 27 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S Main St. Dr. Marney will play solo works by Bach, Brahms and Kapustin.

Dr. Marney received both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance at Central Washington University, studying with Dr. John Pickett, and was awarded 1st place in the Steinway & Sons piano competition for Washington State. Dr. Marney also has a Master of Science degree in Music Technology from the IUPUI School of Music in Indianapolis.

There is no admission for the performance. No advance ticket purchase or reservations are required. Dr. Marney will play on the Kawai grand piano graciously on loan to HAC from the family of Jason Dugger.

This is the second of two Casual Classics concerts in partnership with the Hannibal Arts Council, Hannibal Concert Association, Culver-Stockton College Division of Fine, Applied, and Literary Arts, Area Culver-Stockton Trustees and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
