Monroe City Singers Spring Concert

"MISSOURI-THE GREATEST SHOW-ME STATE" is the theme for the MONROE CITY SINGERS spring concert. The program will feature songs about Missouri, and also spotlight Missouri composers. There are two performances, Thursday, May 2, at 7 PM, and Sunday, May 5, at 4 PM. Both concerts will be at the Monroe City Middle School Auditorium. Included in the program are "The Greatest Show" and "This is Me" from "The Greatest Showman." Also included are familiar melodies, patriotic, and some gospel music. The Monroe City Jazz Band will open the program with "St. Louis Blues."

MC Singers and Jazz Band are under the direction of Dan O'Donnell, of St. Charles, MO. Accompanists for the spring concert are Connie Walker, Sherry Mack, Bonnie Berrey, and Colby Schulz.

There is no charge for this concert, but donations are accepted. The Singers are a group of people from Monroe City and neighboring towns who love music and like to sing. If anyone would like to join this group, contact any of the Singers or one of the officers after the concert. Officers are: president, Bonnie Berrey; vice-president, Ralph Harn; treasurer, Mary Ann McMurdo; secretary and librarian, Barb Reynolds.
