1st Annual Hannibal Great Gardens Conference

The 1st Annual Hannibal Great Gardens Conference will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Hannibal-LaGrange University in the Partee Center. Sponsored by The Missouri Community Forestry Council (MCFC), the conference will feature programs on gardening with native plants, creating wildlife and pollinator gardens, best plant choices for successful gardens and discussion of results from a nationwide survey of over 2000 gardeners.

Presenters are Pat Ward, Director of the Missouri State Arboretum, Mitch Leachman, Director of Programs for the St. Louis Audubon Society, Bob Kendrick, Missouri Master Naturalist, Mary Gibler, Forrest Keeling Nursery and Robert Hendrickson, garden researcher.

There will be a plant sale of native plants, pollinator plants and perennials supplied by Forrest Keeling Nursery plus information from local gardening organizations.

Registration cost is $20.00 which includes conference admission, handout material and refreshment breaks. Students and those under 17 are free.
