Maxine Adams-Bueter, 74, of Perry, passed away on Sunday evening, November 25, 2018 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on October 29, 1944 in Mexico, MO, the daughter of Fred and Louise Poage Smith. Maxine married Gary Adams on December 8, 1963 at Southfork Presbyterian Church, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1974. In September, 2012 she married Jim Bueter at Perry, MO and he survives at home.
Other survivors include one son; Larry Dean Adams, and his wife Sadie of Paris, MO; one grandson, Steven Adams and Alisha Maubach of Paris, MO and two grandchildren; Remington Adams and Phoenix Ensor. She was preceded in death by one brother, Don Smith.
Maxine worked at Mark Twain Nursing Home for 15 years and at Monroe Manor Nursing Home for 5 years, before retiring. She was a member of the Southfork Presbyterian Church. Maxine thoroughly enjoyed and loved her son, her grandson and her great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens, and especially enjoyed canning her vegetables. She loved travelling with Jim on many trips, but especially their travels down the iconic Route 66.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Southfork Presbyterian Church with Reverend John Grimmett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Agnew Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
