Kimberly Hernandez has been chosen as the October Habit Hero for Kindergarten. Kimberly ALWAYS works hard and comes prepared for her day. She is wonderful at synergizing when working in groups to get the job done! Kimberly leads by example and can be counted on to choose to do the right thing. Kimberly puts first things first by doing her work nice and neat, so then she can choose to read books from our class library. If you’re looking for a great Kindergarten leader, look no further because Kimberly is a model example of what a leader should look like!

Elise Bickel has been chosen as the October Habit Hero for first grade. Elise is new to our school and she has quickly picked up on being proactive. She makes the correct choices and lives up to the expectations of first grade. Elise begins with the end in mind by promptly starting her work. She was given extra computer time when she had all her work completed before others. During math stations we can always count on Elise to synergize with her classmates. We are so happy that Elise is at Ralls County this year!

Logan Preston has been chosen as the October Habit Hero for second grade. Logan is a great example of what it means to truly be a leader. No matter what, Logan can be counted on to always be a good friend to others. He is kind to his classmates and works well with anyone he is paired up with. Habit 5, “Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood”, comes easy for Logan. He does an excellent job listening to what others have to say before he responds to them. Outside of school, Logan participates on the football team. Through being on the team, he has learned how to synergize with others.

Brynlea Mayerhofer has been chosen as the October Habit Hero for 3rd grade. This is Bryn’s first year at Ralls County Elementary, but from her very first day, she has shown by example how to be a leader and follow the 7 Habits. Bryn can always be counted on to be listening carefully and following all directions the very first time. When it comes to taking her AR tests, Bryn begins with the end in mind by knowing how many tests she needs to have taken by a certain date. Then she works hard to reach that goal. Bryn synergizes in her class by working well with other students at her table and small group. Bryn is also an awesome helper at the end of the day to her classmates and her teacher. She puts first things first by packing herself up and then helping those around her.

Darrin Lucas has been chosen as the October Habit Hero for 4th grade. Darrin is an absolute joy to have in the classroom, he uses the 7 habits daily! Darrin shows habit number 1 -Be Proactive when getting his math and reading homework completed on his free time before going home in the afternoon. Darrin is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in his class or in the other class. He never has to be told twice to do something and follows directions. Darrin always seems to know when someone needs a hug or an encouraging word to brighten their day!

Maylie Boling has been chosen as the October Habit Hero for 5th Grade. Maylie has been a great leader in our classroom. This semester, Maylie has been the head Tiger Store leader for our classroom. Maylie was proactive in making sure that her application was turned in and complete so she would get the job. In this role, Maylie has done a wonderful job assisting younger students and keeping track of the schedule for her classes. In the classroom, Maylie also continues to be responsible follows expectations.
