Trivia Night a Success
New London Park Days held their annual Trivia Night on Saturday night, November 3rd in the New London Lions Club building. There were fifteen teams registered and fourteen actually participated. Each team could have up to ten players. There were ten trivia questions in ten different categories. Each team had an answer sheet to record their team answers. Answer sheets were collected after each round and ten points were given for each correct answer. At the end of the night, the team with the highest score was declared the winner. This year the winning team, with a total score of 820 was Team Cernea. Second place, with a score of 790 was Wise Crackers, and there was a tie for third between Team WeWannaWin and Team Village Idiots, with a score of 770.
Proceeds from the event are earmarked for the Park Days Scholarship Fund. Two seniors from Mark Twain High School are selected each spring to receive a $500 college scholarship. Look for those applications to be available after the first of the year at the High School Counselor’s office.
